AI gives you the most probable design, not the best one
Chimala’s point is that a model “can’t inherently act randomly”: it picks the most likely next token, so left alone it hands you the layout it has seen most often, centred hero, three-column grid, purple gradient. The fix is to push variety in from outside, with an ambitious, specific art direction or a random string the model is told to treat as inspiration. The model isn’t short on ideas, only on permission to pick an unlikely one.
