Specific numbers are more believable than round ones

“Cuts closing time by 23 minutes” beats “saves you time” and even “cuts closing time by half an hour”. Precision signals that somebody actually measured — and audiences can feel the difference even if they never articulate it.

Why it matters

Round numbers read like marketing claims; precise ones read like measurements. Credibility is the cheapest conversion lift available — it costs an edit.

Try this week

Audit your current claims. Everywhere you rounded ("save 30%", "thousands of merchants"), check whether the real number is available and use it ("save 27%", "4,218 merchants").
