Stop telling people how many get it wrong

In Arizona’s Petrified Forest, a sign saying many past visitors had taken wood led to more theft than a plain request not to take any. Telling people a bad habit is widespread makes it feel normal, and normal feels safe to copy. So when your copy says “most teams still do this manually”, you may be reassuring readers rather than moving them, so show what the people getting it right do instead.

💡 Why it matters

Copy that warns how common a bad habit is quietly tells readers that habit is normal, so it can push them toward the very thing you want them to stop.
